AI for IT Help Desk
Nine short lessons on the reading and writing around IT support, with an assistant doing the drafting: the four questions to ask before anyone fixes a vague ticket, an error or log read in plain words once passwords, keys and names are stripped out, steps a colleague can follow with one action each and a place to stop, an article from a solved ticket that says what it applies to, an escalation note that says what you changed, an outage note with the next update and no guessed fix time, joiner and leaver checklists with the approval on the ticket first, the reply to a phishing report that thanks and routes it without a verdict, and a weekly look back with one card for the whole desk.
Help desk analysts, service desk agents, desktop support technicians and the one-person IT department of a small company, answering colleagues' tech problems by ticket, phone, chat and in the corridor. Not customer service for outside customers; Vesnoro's customer service course covers that. You do not need to be an engineer or use a particular ticketing system, and tickets go only into the AI tool your employer approved, with people, passwords and internal names taken out.
What you will practise
- "The internet is down"
what exactly happens, since when, what changed, and whether it is only them
- The whole head office has lost the shared drive
what is affected, what to do meanwhile and when the next update comes, with no guessed fix time
- Someone senior who needs access now
the change waits for the approval on the ticket, and the request goes to the approver while they are still on the phone
