AI for Customer Service
Nine short lessons on the support queue, with an assistant doing the drafting: a voice guide that is mostly the list of what to take back out, the one request under an angry message, a handoff summary that keeps every promise and who made it, a bug report with the cause left blank, a note to your lead when the yes or the no is not yours, a macro or help article walked through in today's product, the bot's answers read and checked before you write, your own one-line answer before the suggested draft, and one card for every shift.
Customer support agents on email, chat and phone queues, and customer success staff who look after the same accounts over time. Nothing here needs code or a technical background; customer text goes only into the assistant your company approved, and card numbers and ID documents never go into the one you draft with.
What you will practise
- A subject line in capitals, and a calendar that shows nothing for Saturday
the one-line need first, then the specific thing and what happens next
- "I'll check with engineering tomorrow", written on a Tuesday, read on a Thursday
a four-part handoff, and every promise searched for in the thread
- "Can I get a refund for last month, since the calendar was down on my busiest day?"
the policy line quoted, and the yes or the no left to whoever your policy names
